Well, I’m back! Having spent many hours setting up this site and getting it working and showing in Google, I started to fade away from it. Well no more!

I plan to add a lot more content to this website (and I don’t mean just randomly ‘blogging’), such as more FREE lessons of all different guitar playing aspects. I am also looking at putting a gallery on here to show my studio and show where I teach.

So, as ever, keep watching the website…

Free Online Guitar Lessons

Right now, I am trying to build up the free guitar lessons part of my website. It is something that I would like to get up and running with loads of really useful content for people.

The lessons will not at all be the same as having an actual guitar lesson. They should be viewed as little snippets of information that all budding guitarists should know.

Building up free guitar lessons online

Over the next few weeks, I will be building up free guitar lessons on my website.

These will eventually cover everything that you need to know about the guitar! Currently, I am creating a ‘basics’ section which covers everything from tuning your guitar, to reading TAB, learning all the notes on the fretboard.

Next, I will cover a Beginners Course, to help you get playing straight away.

I have been reading alot to do with blogging and SEO and how the two link together, but I am still at a loss really. Some people have been telling me to competely get rid of Word Press and go for a book that tells me how to code my own CSS site with a few good quality pages. A few things that make that hard is time and effort! You see, Word Press was built as a blog system where people could ramble on about life (a bit like what I am doing now), yet when I installed it, I noticed that it can actually do a lot more than that. It seems that you can build whole website all through the Word Press system and make it look professional and tidy.

With my line of work too, and my luck with computers, I need to be able to quickly update my website on the go. Word Press lets me do that as it is all done through the back door of the site, which is excellent.

But it is still designed as a blog program.

So can a whole website work through Word Press? It seems that mine says yes. I like the way that it looks and I like the layout. Some people have said that they do not like the fact that I have white text on a black background, but I like it. It is different and there are not a lot of websites like that. Maybe because people do not like it, but I think that gives me a niche. Maybe?

This blogging and website building thing is hard work!

Next blog post coming soon – there is a reason why I want to increase the amount of blogs I do, but I will come to that soon!
